Keith D. Ray II is the Senior Pastor of Clemson United Methodist Church. He has been a pastor for over 25 years and previously served as Associate University Chaplain and Assistant Professor of Religion at Furman University. Keith is a graduate of Marshall University (B.A. in Economics), Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M.Div.), and Northern Seminary (D.Min. in Worship Studies). He has done additional graduate work in liturgical studies at the University of Notre Dame. Keith has taught in the field of worship and liturgy at three theological schools and directed numerous doctoral students in developing theses in worship studies. The Louisville Institute, funded through the Lilly Endowment, has recently named Pastor Keith a recipient of a Pastoral Study Program grant in 2015-2016. Click here for more information.
Pastor of Spiritual Formation
Megan Boatwright is the Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Clemson United Methodist Church. She works to develop and strengthen small group ministries and serves as the pastor for The Vine, our emergent worship service. Megan is a graduate of Allegheny College and Duke Divinity School (M.Div.). Prior to serving as a United Methodist pastor, she worked in higher education administration at Winthrop University, which affirmed her calling to work with college students within the context of ministry. Megan's passion for ministry includes seeking justice and peace for marginalized people everywhere. As a native Pittsburgher, Megan bleeds black and gold in a sea of orange.
Steve Simoneaux is the Director of the Clemson Wesley Foundation and Campus Minister for Clemson United Methodist Church. He previously served as Associate Pastor at Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC. Steve is a graduate of Clemson University and Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M.Div.). Steve's call to ministry has been influenced by his involvement in the Clemson Wesley Foundation as an undergraduate student at Clemson University.
Pastor of Congregational Care
Pat Kelley is the Pastor of Congregational Care at Clemson United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Purdue University and Candler School of Theology at Emory University (Course of Study). Pat spent has four years as a US Air Force contracting officer, twenty years in manufacturing management with Square D Company, and thirteen years managing a printing business in Greenville prior to becoming a pastor.
Director of Children's Ministries
Marie Schmidt is the Director of Children's Ministries of Clemson United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University (B.A. in Early Childhood Education). Marie has previously worked as a teacher in the Pickens County School District before working at Clemson UMC. Marie's call to ministry is defined by her great love for working with children and their families.
Director of Youth Ministries
Jad Taylor is the Director of Youth Ministries at Clemson United Methodist Church. He previously served as a counselor and on leadership staff at Camp Timberline, where he began to strongly hear God's call to serve alongside teenagers. Jad is a graduate of Clemson University (B.S. in Biosystems Engineering) and Duke Divinity School (M.A. in Christian Practice). His call to ministry is shaped by his desire to create spaces where those on the margins can find a place of welcome and inclusion. Jad can often be found on the racquetball court, at a contra dance, or somewhere in the great outdoors, wearing Chacos.
Director of Music Ministries
Trevis Young is the Director of Music Ministries at Clemson United Methodist Church. Additionally he works as Collaborative Artist for Clemson University's Department of Performing Arts. He previously served as Organist for Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR and Director of Music for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenwood, SC. Trevis is graduate of Wartburg College (B.A. in Music) and Erskine Theological Seminary (Masters of Church Music). His lifelong love of classical music, combined with a Lutheran educational background rich in choral and organ music, helped steer him toward the wonderfully diverse liturgy of the church. In his free time, Trevis enjoys cooking, collecting mechanical watches, and spending time outdoors with his beautiful wife Vanessa and their son, Samuel.

Ministry Assistant to the Senior Pastor
Carolyn Briscoe is the Ministry Assistant to the Senior Pastor at Clemson United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Lagrange College (B.A., Psychology), and the University of Georgia (M.Ed.) and (Ed.D., Elementary Education). Prior to working at Clemson United Methodist Church, Carolyn worked as a teacher, instructional supervisor, and administrator. In 2007, after 26 years at Clemson University, she retired and became a Professor Emerita in the CU College of Health, Education, and Human Development. Carolyn has one sister, one brother, two nieces, two nephews and nine grand nieces and nephews. The grands “claim” her as a grandmother, a role she cherishes.
Administrative Assistant & Director of Children's Music
Anne Eldridge is the Administrative Assistant and Director of Children's Music at Clemson UMC. She previously worked for the Boston Athletic Association processing applications for the Boston Marathon. Anne is a graduate of Clemson University (B.A. in English) and Berklee College of Music (Bachelor of Music, Songwriting). Anne enjoys playing music, reading magazines, watching Patriots football, and hanging out with family.
