Clemson UMC partners with Clemson Wesley (“CW” or “Wesley” for short), a ministry sponsored by the South Carolina Conference of the UMC, to provide a variety of ministry opportunities for college students from Clemson University, Tri County and Southern Wesleyan University including:

Worship - Held on Sunday nights during the academic year, CW’s Evensong is a student-led, student-oriented time of worship and fellowship held at CUMC. It begins at 6:30pm with a free, home-cooked meal for students followed by a time of worship.  All ages are always welcome!

Retreats - Wesley sponsors a variety of retreats throughout the year, including rafting and camping overnights, for example.  Some retreats are co-ed while others are gender-specific.

Small Groups - Wesley sponsors 10-12 small group/Bible studies every semester. Some are by class (Freshmen Guys group, for example) while others are by topic and open to all.

Mission/Service - Wesley sponsors and lends support to a variety of mission or service opportunities throughout the year, and typically takes several mission trips as well (i.e., to New Orleans, Tuscaloosa, Eleuthera, Bahamas, Harlem in recent years).

Social - Students in Wesley like to have fun, whether that’s painting up for a CU sporting event, going contra dancing or playing ultimate frisbee on Bowman.
